Hello Everyone 

 

I trust you all are well and that your planning for the Christmas festivities is in full swing.

 

Maybe your plans include Avon’s annual Christmas Ball?  This takes place this coming Saturday, 21st December and is always one of the main highlights of the year.  The venue is once again the Somerset Hall, Portishead and the evening commences at 7.30pm through until around 11.15pm with Mark Helmore playing his usual wonderful selection of music.  There will be a Latin-American dance cabaret by the British Professional Latin Vice-Champions, Adelmo Mandia and Leah Rolfe.  Tickets are £20 for members and £25 for guests and this includes a 2 course buffet and there still some tickets available.  However if you have not yet purchased your tickets and are intending to attend then I would urge to do so very quickly to avoid disappointment.   I would also request those of you who have already bought your tickets and have any special dietary requests (eg vegetarian or gluten-free) to please let me know by Wednesday so that I can inform the caterers.

The Tuesday practice nights continue but please note that there is none on 24th or 31st December.

 

Our next Tea Dance is on Sunday January 19^th and Diane (Isaac) will once again be there from 2.30pm with free tuition.

 

Finally on behalf of the President, Chairman and committee we would like to thank you for your support throughout the past year and look forward to your continuation of this during the next twelve months.  We wish you and your families a very Happy Christmas and lots of good dancing in 2025.
